Itinerary
AT A GLANCE

Arrival

Day 1 | Depart for  Vietnam

Depart from Thailand  for your tour to Vietman.
 

Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to your hotel. 


Day 2 |  Hanoi City Tour

After breakfast at the hotel you will start your visit to Tran Quoc pagoda, located on Westlake, one of the oldest pagodas in Hanoi,  You will continue to visit Quan Thanh Temple, its spacious and charming landscape helps highlight the ancient and romantic beauty of this area. Next stop is Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam, built in 1070 by the Ly Dynasty to honor Confucius, sages, and outstanding Vietnamese scholars. 


In the afternoon, you will visit the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, which focuses on the 54 officially recognized ethnic groups in Vietnam. You will have an overall view of the capital by a "cyclo” visit, which will start around the Old Quarter of Hanoi, stop at Ngoc Son Temple located on the Hoan Kiem Lake (the “Sword” Lake). Later that afternoon you will enjoy a unique fascinating show of Water Puppetry, a traditional stage art of Northern Vietnam. 


During the visit of the Mausoleum, visitors are required to wear proper attire, covering shoulders and knees (no short, miniskirt or short trousers).

Ha Long Bay

Day 3 | Hanoi - Ha Long - Overnight on board

After breakfast you will check out and take a 3-hour transfer to Halong Bay, the pride of the Gulf of Tonkin, a Natural World Heritage as designated by UNESCO in 1994.  You will see the green paddy fields and rural villages along the road. 


Upon your arrival in Tuan Chau pier, you will check in for your cruise and have lunch. Your cruise passes by Dog Head and Swan Islands before reaching to Luon cave area, the perfect combination of lime-stone mountains and jade green sea.  You will view the local people along the way. Later that day you will visit Titop Island.  You will time for swimming, sun-bathing, or getting a panoramic view on the island peak. As the sun sets over the bay, you will head back to the cruise to relax before dinner.  You will have local seafood for dinner.  After dinner you can enjoy drinks from the bar or experience squid fishing. You will spend the night on the boat. Please note that only international and local food is available on the boat.

Day 4 | Ha Long - Hanoi - Flight to Saigon

Enjoy the beautiful landscape while you have breakfast and sip on your coffee or tea.  Today you will visit the impressive Cave of Ha Long Bay Surprising Cave (Sửng Sốt), a truly awesome and amazing cave.  On the way back to the marina you will enjoy lunch as you take amazing pictures of the typical islets in Halong Bay. 


You will check out of your cabin and cruise back to Tuan Chau pier at 11:00AM where you will be transferred to the Noi Bai airport for your flight to Saigon (now known as Ho Chi Minh City)  around 4:00 PM. Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) is the most hectic and busiest city of Vietnam. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel.

Day 5 |  Saigon - Cu Chi tunnels - City tour – Saigon


After breakfast you will be picked up at your hotel and you will visit Cu Chi Tunnels, one of the few remaining monuments to the fierce Vietnam War. Beneath the ground lie 200 km of tunnels, dug by hand, and inhabited by the forces of the Vietnamese guerillas during the conflict. At its peak, prior to the Tet Offensive in 1968, the tunnel complex was base to almost 10,000 troops. To this day, it remains one of the most impressive examples of how fierce the war used to be.  After your tour you will return to Saigon. 


In the afternoon, you will visit the Reunification Palace.  The grand building today is a Museum and Hall of official receptions. Nearby the Palace is the colonial styled Central Post Office, one of the city’s major landmarks. You will walk on Dong Khoi street to take photos of the Opera House and the Ho Chi Minh Committee (outside). Your last stop of the day will be Ben Thanh market, where you can experience the daily life of the local people.

Mekong Delta

Day 6 |   Saigon - Mekong Delta – Saigon

After breakfast you will be go on a tour of the Mekong Delta.  You will visit My Tho, the homeland of coconut and family factories with local products like coconut candy, rice paper, etc.  Upon arrival, you will embark on a boat cruise on the mighty Mekong River.  On your cruise you will view the life of the local people who live along the banks. You will stop at one of the four (4) islands in the area for sightseeing. On your tour, you will enjoy the fresh tropical fruits served in the heart of the garden accompanied by traditional southern Vietnamese folk music at the plantation. 


You will embark on small boats rowed by the local people thru the small canals lined with water coconut trees to visit the local factories.  Upon arrival, you will taste the honey tea and see the local people produce the coconut candy milk.  You can try the products and stroll in the garden where the locals feed the honeybees. 


You will then enjoy a horse-cart trip through the tranquil road of the village. After your ride you will board the boat and continue visiting the vast area.  This afternoon, you will transfer back to the hotel with a stop to visit Vinh Trang pagoda, a famous pagoda in the area.  The architecture of the pagoda is a mix of Chinese, Cambodian, and French culture. 


Please note that only local food is available in Mekong Delta. 


Overnight - Saigon

Day 7 |  Saigon Departure

You will have breakfast at the hotel.  The remainder of the day is at leisure until you transfer to the airport for your departure flight.  You will return home with fond memories of your trip to Thailand and Vietnam!

    US citizens must have a valid passport and a visa to travel to  Vietnam.  


    In addition to a visa, travelers must make sure their passports have 6 months of validity after the planned date of departure from Vietnam.

    Travel insurance is highly recommended. An insuance  quote will be provided once your registration form and deposit are received. 

  • Airfare

    Airfare from Washington Dulles (IAD)


    Airfare will be arranged once airfare becomes available.

  • Deposit, Policies, & Payment Plans

    Deposit of $300 due upon booking to confirm hotel and tours. Deposits accepted until sold out.  


    Balance due:  January 15, 2021 


    Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.  Deposits can be made in any amounts as long as balance is paid on time.  


    Suggested payment schedule: $300 per month.  Insurance quote will be provided once registration form is received.
